Worth a Closer Look
Material. Mechanism. Maker.
A frame is something you live in. It rests against your skin, moves with you, and becomes part of how you see yourself. We believe the details you feel every day deserve as much consideration as the silhouette you see in the mirror.
For Cercle Square, the story behind $475 begins with Italian acetate, continues through carefully considered European hardware, and takes shape at a maker’s bench in Logan, Utah.
01 / A different depth
Mazzucchelli Italian Cellulose Acetate
True luxury begins with material integrity rather than synthetic shortcuts. Cercle Square frames are carved from cured Mazzucchelli cellulose acetate sourced from Milan, a plant-based material crafted from natural cotton fibers and wood pulp.
Its appeal is both visual and tactile: deep color translucence, nuanced light refraction, and a rich, hand-buffed luster. Its organic density gives each frame a substantial, balanced presence.
Chosen for more than its appearance, cured Italian acetate warms against the skin and can be adjusted by an optician for a considered, personal fit.
02 / Strength in the smallest details
Precision 5- and 7-Barrel European Hinges
A frame is only as durable as its mechanical foundation. The hinge may be a small component, but it shapes the experience of putting your glasses on, taking them off, and wearing them day after day.
Cercle Square integrates heavy-duty 5- and 7-barrel hinges engineered by OBE and Visottica Comotec in Germany and Italy. Their interlocking steel knuckles distribute opening torque across multiple contact points.
The intention is something you can feel: a smooth, firm mechanical glide, with the structure to help keep your frames aligned and balanced.
03 / Made deliberately. Made in few.
Small-Batch Craftsmanship by LFVR in Logan, Utah
Every Cercle Square frame is individually shaped and finished by spectacle makers at LFVR in Logan, Utah, through a multi-stage bench-made process.
Precision CNC milling establishes the form. Multi-day barrel tumbling and extensive manual wheel-buffing refine it, creating smooth, architectural bevels that catch the light.
Production is capped at just 105 individually numbered pieces per style and colorway. Each frame is treated as a limited wearable design object, with attention given to the surfaces, edges, and details you encounter every day.
The value is in what stays with you.
At $475, you are investing in considered materials, substantial hardware, small-batch American craftsmanship, and numbered scarcity.
Not another frame for a passing season. A design object for everyday life.
